June 11, 2025
Burlington, MA - St. John’s Prep punched its ticket to the MIAA Division 1 boys lacrosse state final for the fifth consecutive season with a 12-5 win over No. 3 Lincoln-Sudbury at Burlington High. The second-seeded Eagles stormed out to a commanding lead and never gave it up throughout the game.
St. John’s netted the first five goals of the game — three of which came in the opening five minutes. Lee, Will Crawford, and Jack Quigley each found the back of the net early, putting LS on its heels and giving the Eagles a 3-0 lead before the Warriors could settle in. By halftime, the advantage had swelled to 7-1, with Lee notching his second goal late in the second quarter to cap off a strong first-half showing.
The Eagles continued to dominate in the third quarter. Lee completed his hat trick to extend the lead to 11-3. It was part of a balanced offensive attack that has become a hallmark of St. John’s Prep this season. Ten different players scored in the victory.
Crawford was a force at the faceoff X, winning 16 of 19 draws and giving the Eagles consistent possession throughout the game. Madden McGowan added a goal and two assists, while Cam and Ryan McCarthy chipped in with a goal and assist apiece.
