Warriors Battle Early, Fall to SJP in Second Half

April 9, 2025

Danvers, MA - SJP used a quick start in the third quarter to secure an 11-5 win over Lincoln-Sudbury. The Eagles, defending Division 1 champions, won 16 of 19 faceoffs and outscored Lincoln-Sudbury 7-2 in the second half.

The first half was close, with St. John’s edging ahead late in the second quarter. Will Crawford helped set up a Cam McCarthy goal, then won the next faceoff and scored himself to make it 4-3 at the break.

Crawford’s strong day at the faceoff dot helped St. John’s build momentum. Early in the third quarter, the Eagles scored four goals in less than two minutes—one each from Luke Kelly, Ryan McCarthy, Josh Haarman, and Crawford—to take control at 8-3.

Lincoln-Sudbury’s Rex Friedholm completed a hat trick in the fourth quarter to bring the Warriors within 9-5, but two goals from Mac Crawford closed out the game.
